Nepal to FaceSingapore After 36 Years

  • Kathmandu – The Nepalese national football team is set to play an international friendly against Singapore on Friday, marking their first match under newly appointed Australian coach Matt Ross.

    This match is significant as Nepal returns to international football after five months, and both the players and coaching staff are eager to make a strong start under Ross’s leadership.

    The match will kick off at 6:15 PM Nepal time at the Singapore National Stadium. Due to rainy conditions in Singapore, Nepal’s squad had a light training session on Wednesday.

    Coach Matt Ross, who is making his debut as a national team head coach, expressed his excitement ahead of the match.

    “I’m looking forward to Friday night. This is a dream come true for me,” he stated before departing for Singapore.

    Ross emphasized that the match would provide a clear assessment of Nepal’s current form, helping to shape future strategies. He also confirmed that he would field his best team against Singapore.
