Himalayan Cricket Academy Wins 10th Nepal-Pakistan Friendship T20 Tournament 2025

Kathmandu – The Closing and Prize Distribution Ceremony of the 10th Edition of the Nepal-Pakistan Friendship T20 Cricket Tournament 2025 was held today in Kathmandu. The tournament, which commenced on February 7, 2025, saw participation from twelve teams representing various cricket clubs.

In the thrilling final match, Himalayan Cricket Academy emerged as the champion, securing the prestigious trophy, while Angles Sports Academy claimed the runners-up title.

The event was graced by Mr. Dhruba Acharya, Vice President of the National Sports Council of Nepal, as the Chief Guest. He awarded the trophy to the winners and commended the Pakistan Embassy’s efforts in organizing the tournament. He acknowledged the event’s significance in strengthening Nepal-Pakistan ties and its contribution to Nepali cricket by providing opportunities for young and emerging players.

The event was also attended by media representatives, members of the Pakistani community, and officials of the Pakistan Embassy, along with their families.

In his closing remarks, H.E. Abrar H. Hashmi, Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal, expressed his commitment to continuing such initiatives to foster stronger ties between the youth of Nepal and Pakistan. He congratulated all the participating teams and thanked the Chief Guest, dignitaries, and attendees for their support. He also extended his gratitude to Himalayan Bank Limited and Global IME Bank for sponsoring the event.
