Kho-Kho World Cup: Nepal’s Men’s and Women’s Teams Set for Quarterfinal Matches Today

  • Kathmandu – Nepal’s men’s and women’s teams are set to compete in the quarterfinals of the ongoing Kho-Kho World Cup in India today, Friday.

    In the women’s quarterfinal, Nepal will face Iran, while the men’s team will take on Bangladesh.

    The women’s quarterfinal match between Nepal and Iran is scheduled to begin at 4:45 PM. The winner will advance to the semifinals to face the victor of the Uganda vs. New Zealand match.

    Similarly, the men’s quarterfinal between Nepal and Bangladesh will commence at 6:00 PM. The winning team will play against the winner of the Iran vs. Kenya match for a spot in the final.

    Nepal’s women’s team secured its place in the quarterfinals as the undefeated winner of Group C. In the group stage, Nepal defeated Bhutan, Germany, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh to maintain a perfect record.

    Meanwhile, the men’s team advanced to the quarterfinals as the runner-up of Group A. After losing their opening match to India, Nepal bounced back with wins against Peru, Brazil, and Bhutan to secure their spot in the knockout stage.
