Nepal and Myanmar Draw Ahead of Final
Kathmandu – In the Four-Nation International Women’s Championship, the group stage match between Nepal and Myanmar ended in a 2-2 draw at Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwor today. Despite four goals in the first half, no goals were scored in the second half.
Myanmar took the lead as early as the 6th minute, but Sabita Rana Magar equalized for Nepal in the 11th minute. Myanmar regained the lead in the 17th minute, but Sabitra Bhandari brought Nepal back into the game by scoring in the 41st minute, leveling the score at 2-2.
Both Nepal and Myanmar had already secured their spots in the final before this match, having defeated Lebanon and Kyrgyzstan earlier in the tournament. Both teams remain undefeated.
This draw marks the 5th encounter between Nepal and Myanmar, with Nepal having lost 3 times and drawn 2 times.
Earlier today, Lebanon secured a consolation win against Kyrgyzstan, who lost all three matches.
The final match between Nepal and Myanmar is scheduled for Wednesday.
