Nepal Men’s and Women’s Teams Advance to Kho-Kho World Cup Semifinals with Dominant Performances
Kathmandu – Both the Nepal men’s and women’s teams have stormed into the semifinals of the Kho-Kho World Cup with commanding victories in their respective quarterfinal matches held today at the Indira Gandhi Stadium in New Delhi, India.
The Nepal men’s team defeated Bangladesh 67–18 in a dominant display to secure their spot in the semifinals. After finishing second in their group, the men’s team overcame a tough start, losing their opening match to India before bouncing back with victories against Peru, Brazil, and Bhutan during the group stage.
Similarly, the Nepal women’s team delivered an outstanding performance, thrashing Iran 103–8 in their quarterfinal match. The women’s team advanced to the quarterfinals as the unbeaten leaders of their group, having defeated Bhutan, Germany, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh in the group stage.
The semifinal matches for both categories are scheduled for tomorrow, with the finals set to take place on Sunday.
