Nepal Placed in Group F for 2026 AFC Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers

Kathmandu – Nepal has been placed in Group F for the 2026 AFC Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers, as per the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) announcement from its headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

In Group F, Nepal will compete against Uzbekistan, Laos, and Sri Lanka. Uzbekistan ranks 50th in the FIFA rankings, while Nepal is ranked 99th, Laos 107th, and Sri Lanka 158th. The qualifying matches for Group F will be held in Uzbekistan this June.

A total of 34 teams have been divided into eight groups, with only the group winners qualifying for the final tournament in Australia. If Nepal finishes at the top of Group F, it will qualify for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup for the first time. The tournament is set to take place in March 2026 in Australia.
