Nepal Women’s Team Falls Short Against India in Kho-Kho World Cup Final
Kathmandu – The Nepal women’s team finished as runners-up in the Kho-Kho World Cup after losing to host nation India in the final.
In the title clash held at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi today, the Nepalese team suffered a 78–40 defeat to India. Despite the loss, the Nepal women’s team showcased an impressive performance throughout the tournament, remaining unbeaten until the final.
Nepal secured a place in the final by defeating Uganda in the semifinals and Iran in the quarterfinals. In the group stage, the team triumphed over Bhutan, Germany, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh to finish at the top of their group.
Meanwhile, the Nepal men’s team is set to face India in their final match later tonight at 8 PM.
