Stock Market Declines Sharply Today: Transactions Reach NPR 10.09 Billion

Kathmandu – The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index witnessed a sharp decline today, dropping by 46.33 points to settle at 2,772.10 points.

With today’s fall, the stock market has been declining for five consecutive days. While the share prices of 24 companies increased, those of 217 companies decreased.

Among the sub-indices, the Others sector suffered the highest drop of 2.69%, followed by Investment (-2.49%), Finance (-1.87%), Development Bank (-1.71%), and Microfinance (-1.58%).

A total of NPR 10.09 billion worth of shares were traded today. Himalayan Reinsurance recorded the highest transaction volume, with shares worth NPR 1.12 billion being traded.
